While his fans took to the streets in the early hours of Thursday morning to celebrate the release by bursting firecrackers and lighting up flares and even performing poojas ahead of the screening. Some clips also saw city streets being transformed into party zones, with fans waving giant posters, wearing customised T-shirts, and even dancing under disco lights while waving paper cuttings of the actor in the air. Once inside the theatres, the celebrations seemed to have continued. Videos doing the rounds on social media see fans hooting, cheering, screaming and dancing as ‘Man of the Masses’ Jr NTR made his entry in an action-packed scene on the big screen. The scene involved a shirtless NTR literally flying onto the scene and making a hero’s landing on a ship. Videos of ecstatic fans throwing confetti to celebrate the superstar’s grand entry have given netizens a peek at all the frenzy around the film’s release.In War 2, Jr NTR plays elite operative Vikram, who faces off against Hrithik Roshan’s Kabir in a globe-trotting spy chase. The film which also stars Kiara Advani, Ashutosh Rana, and Anil Kapoor, is part of the studio’s expanding Spy Universe.Released in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil on August 14, the film has already recorded massive advance ticket sales exceeding Rs 30 crore, setting the stage for a blockbuster weekend. The film will, however, face some competition from the box-office clash with Rajinikanth’s Coolie.
