According to a report on Sacnilk, the film has already registered an all-India advance booking gross of Rs 9.04 crore. When blocked seats are factored in, the tally surges to an impressive Rs 17.29 crore, a clear sign of the film’s growing momentum as Independence Day weekend approaches.
Format-Wise Performance
The Hindi 2D version remains the top earner, with collections standing at Rs 5.56 crore. Including premium formats such as IMAX 2D, 4DX, and ICE, the Hindi version’s earnings climb to Rs 6.18 crore. The Telugu dubbed version has pulled in an estimated Rs 3 crore, largely from its 2D screenings, while the Tamil version trails with approximately Rs 9.34 lakh.
Regional Breakdown
Andhra Pradesh leads the state-wise chart with an estimated Rs 2.57 crore in advance and blocked ticket sales, closely followed by Telangana at Rs 2.34 crore. Maharashtra is next with Rs 2.34 crore, while Delhi and Karnataka stand at Rs 2.03 crore and Rs 1.04 crore, respectively.
Comparison with 2019’s War
Although War 2’s numbers are promising, it faces the challenge of matching its predecessor’s record-setting debut. War (2019) opened to a massive Rs 53.35 crore and went on to collect Rs 166.25 crore over its first weekend, eventually amassing a staggering Rs 318.01 crore lifetime gross. Whether War 2 can replicate or surpass that benchmark will depend on its sustained performance post-release.
Comparison with Coolie
Meanwhile, the Rajiianth starrer Coolie, has taken the lead at the weekend box office, securing an impressive Rs 24.59 crore collection in advance ticket bookings. With the inclusion of blocked seats, the film’s total collection rises to an estimated Rs 32.64 crore.

Despite the clash, War 2 and Coolie have managed to set up a Rs 50 crore weekend, just from advance ticket sales. With a day still to go, it remains to be seen how much the numbers rise.
