Romance was the defining mood of the year, with love ballads dominating India’s top 10 songs.
Podcast listening remained strong too, particularly in horror, true crime, and self-help categories. Local creators like Figuring Out with Raj Shamani, The Horror Show by Khooni Monday, and The Ranveer Show (Hindi) led the list once again.
A more personalised Wrapped experience
Eligible users can now access their personalised 2025 Wrapped experience within the Spotify app on iOS and Android. This year’s version introduces new levels of control—listeners can choose the pace at which they explore their stories and revisit highlights without restarting the journey.
Classic elements like Top Genres, Top Artist Sprint, and the annual Top Song Quiz return, alongside the Your Top Songs 2025 playlist, which displays exactly how many times users streamed their top 100 tracks.
2025 Wrapped also has several new features:

• top albums, spotlighting the records users revisited most
• fan leaderboard, showing where listeners rank among global fans of their top artists

Music trends in India
Arijit Singh held onto his position as India’s most-streamed artist for the seventh consecutive year, followed by Pritam and Shreya Ghoshal. A R Rahman, Anirudh Ravichander, Sachin-Jigar, Alka Yagnik, Udit Narayan, Tanishk Bagchi, and Masoom Sharma rounded out the top 10.
The year’s most-streamed track was Raanjhan from Do Patti by Sachet-Parampara, which crossed 246 million streams. Other popular songs included Finding Her, Saiyaara, Sahiba, Ishq, Jo Tum Mere Ho, Ishq Hai, Apna Bana Le, Sahiba and Tere Bina.
Soundtracks continued their dominance, with Saiyaara by Tanishk Bagchi emerging as the most-streamed album of 2025. Aashiqui 2 held its second-place position for another year, followed by top albums such as Animal, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Sanam Teri Kasam, Lost & Found, Ek Villain, P-POP CULTURE, Making Memories, and Love Aaj Kal.

Podcast listening habits largely stayed steady, favouring creator-led shows. Figuring Out with Raj Shamani led the list in 2025, followed by The Horror Show by Khooni Monday, The Desi Crime Podcast, The Ranveer Show Hindi, and The Stories of Mahabharata. The top 10 also included Horror Time, SR PAY, Pretkotha, and Moment of Silence.
Global highlights
Globally, Bad Bunny was Spotify’s Top Artist of 2025, crossing 19.8 billion streams and reclaiming the title for the fourth time. Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars’ Die With A Smile became the most-streamed song worldwide with over 1.7 billion streams, while Bad Bunny’s album DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS led the global album rankings.
On the podcast front, The Joe Rogan Experience remained the most-streamed podcast globally for the sixth straight year.
Other top global artists included Taylor Swift, The Weeknd, Drake, Billie Eilish, Kendrick Lamar, Bruno Mars, Ariana Grande, Arijit Singh, and Fuerza Regida. Global chart-toppers for songs and albums featured names such as ROSÉ, Sabrina Carpenter, SZA, Alex Warren, Kendrick Lamar, and more.
