Bollywood actress Sangeeta Bijlani‘s farmhouse in Tikona village near Pawna Dam, Pune, was discovered ransacked and burgled when she visited the property after a long gap on July 18. As reported by PTI, according to police and Bijlani’s complaint, multiple items were stolen, while the premises were left severely damaged.The incident came to light when Bijlani, who had stayed away from the property for nearly four months due to her father’s health issues, visited the farmhouse with two housemaids. To her shock, the main gate and window grills were broken, one television was missing, and another had been smashed.

Thieves Wreak Havoc, Police Await Full Damage Report Before Registering FIRIn her complaint to Pune Rural Superintendent of Police Sandip Singh Gill, Sangeeta Bijlani reported that the upper floor of the farmhouse had been completely vandalised. “All the beds were broken, household items were destroyed, and the CCTVs had either been stolen or severely damaged,” she stated to the media.According to senior inspector Dinesh Tayde of the Lonavala police station, a team has already been dispatched to the site for assessment. “An FIR will be officially registered once the full extent of damage and loss is evaluated,” he said. Authorities are currently examining the farmhouse’s CCTV footage for leads.
No Arrests Yet, Investigation in Progress, Break-in Likely Occurred Weeks Ago, Say Locals
While the exact timing of the break-in is unclear, preliminary evidence suggests that the looting might have happened several days or weeks ago. Since the property had been unoccupied for months, the burglars likely took advantage of its remote location and lack of oversight.
