Samsung has now launched a tablet for rugged areas, the Galaxy Tab Active5 Enterprise Edition, which is designed for businesses and professionals who work in harsh environments.
The Galaxy Tab Active5 is available in two configurations: 6GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage, which cost Rs 49,999 and Rs 56,999, respectively.
Samsung claims that the tablet is built for performance and is targeted towards sectors such as defence, logistics, healthcare, public safety, and manufacturing.
It features an 8-inch TFT display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, which runs on the Octa-Core processor with 6 GB of RAM and two variable internal storage options: 128 GB and 256 GB. The Galaxy Tab Active5 is powered by Android 15 with OS upgrades for seven years, and a three-year warranty on the device. It is available with an all-day 5,050mAh replaceable battery and a no-battery mode for continuous use with constant power.
The display is optimised for excellent outdoor visibility, a significant advantage for India’s diverse climatic conditions. As the device is built for rugged environments, it features an IP68 rating, MIL-STD-810H, and Gorilla Glass 5. It also gets a 12MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. The device is integrated with sensors like accelerometers, fingerprint sensors, geomagnetic sensors, gyros, light sensors, and proximity sensors.
With its bright display and IP68-certified S Pen, the Galaxy Tab Active5 enables users to take notes and sign documents with ease and precision in any lighting or weather situation. The tablet has loud, clear speakers that help during noisy work situations. The gadget also has programmable keys with Push-to-Talk (PTT) capabilities, which allow for quick and effective team communication at the push of a button.
A complimentary one-year membership to Brity Works, Samsung SDS’s comprehensive SaaS collaboration platform with Mail, Messenger, Meeting, and Drive, is included with the Galaxy Tab Active5 Enterprise Edition. Additionally, Brity Copilot, a generative AI-powered assistant that can automate tasks like email drafting and writing the minutes of a meeting, is available for free for two months as part of this offering.

The bundle also includes a 50 per cent discount on Google Workspace for small and medium-sized enterprises and free access to the Zello for Work Push-To-Talk service through December 2025.
