Samsung launched its next-generation Galaxy laptop, the Galaxy Book5, on August 29. The device comes powered by an Intel Ultra Core processor and a 12 TOPS NPU, bringing AI-driven features aimed at boosting productivity and creativity.
The Galaxy Book5 sports a 15.6-inch Full HD anti-glare display and a 61.2 Wh battery, which the company claims offers up to 19 hours of video playback. Prices start at Rs 77,990, with multiple configurations available.
Samsung has packed the laptop with several AI tools. AI Photo Remaster improves image quality using the onboard NPU, while AI Select enables users to search for anything across apps and the web. Other highlights include Copilot with dedicated hotkeys for instant assistance, Circle to Search for quick web lookups, and Transcript Assist for generating meeting or content transcripts.
Beyond AI, the Galaxy Book5 supports the Galaxy Connected Experience, allowing seamless use of features like Quick Share, Second Screen, and Multi-Control across Galaxy devices.
Samsung says the Book5 is slimmer and lighter than its predecessor, while offering 38 per cent better visual performance compared to the Galaxy Book4. Connectivity is also well covered with a range of ports. The device will be available in four variants powered by Intel Ultra 5 and Ultra 7 processors, offered in a single colour—Grey.
The Galaxy Book5 is now on sale through Samsung’s website, Exclusive Stores, select retail outlets, and major e-commerce platforms. Buyers can also avail bank offers of up to Rs 10,000 and 24 months of no-cost EMI.
