HP has unveiled the latest addition to its Omen series, the Omen 16 (2025) gaming laptop, priced at Rs 1,29,999 in India. Designed for gamers who demand high performance and personalisation, the laptop introduces an “Unleashed Mode” for optimised performance and thermal control, along with AI-powered features through Omen AI.
The Omen 16 is available with the latest Intel Core Ultra or AMD Ryzen AI processors, paired with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti laptop GPU and 12GB of dedicated graphics memory. It supports up to 115W GPU power and 170W CPU power, making it a strong contender in the premium gaming segment.
Cooling and performance
The laptop comes with Tempest Cooling technology, which uses expanded fan spacing, a vapour chamber, and phase-change heat redistribution to manage thermals. HP claims the system maintains noise levels at 46 dBA, ensuring quieter gameplay without compromising on cooling efficiency.
Display
The HP Omen 16 features a 16-inch QHD display with 240 Hz refresh rate, 500 nits brightness, 100 per cent sRGB coverage, and a 3 ms response time. It is also Eyesafe-certified, reducing blue light exposure for longer gaming sessions.
Other features
The HP Omen 16 also comes equipped with a built-in full-HD webcam that includes noise reduction technology, ensuring clearer video calls by cutting out unwanted background sounds.
Powering the device is an 83Wh six-cell battery that supports HP Fast Charge. According to the company, the laptop can go from zero to 50 per cent charge in just 30 minutes, making it convenient for gamers who need quick top-ups between sessions.
On the software side, the Omen Gaming Hub provides extensive customisation options. Players can fine-tune cooling preferences, adjust power modes, and personalise system settings to optimise performance according to their needs.

For aesthetics, the Omen 16 includes Omen Light Studio, which enables per-key RGB lighting customisation. An optional RGB light bar further enhances the gaming atmosphere, allowing users to align the look of their device with their personal style.
