Pawan Kalyan‘s much-anticipated period action drama, Hari Hara Veera Mallu: Part 1 Swords vs Spirit, has completed its first week at the box office. Directed by Krish Jagarlamudi and Jyothi Krishna, the film opened with strong numbers but saw a drop in collections over the days. The film has managed to collect over Rs 80.3 crore in its first week.According to trade analyst Sacnilk, the film had a robust opening, raking in Rs 34.75 crore on its first day, thanks to Pawan Kalyan’s star power. However, the numbers saw a steep fall on Day 2 (Friday), collecting Rs 8 crore, a drop of nearly 77%.
Box office collection
As the movie made Rs 9.15 crore on Saturday and Rs 10.6 crore on Sunday, the weekend provided some respite with a modest upward trend. However, the weekday numbers suffered once more. With only Rs 2.1 crore on Monday, the film’s first-week earnings fell precipitously to Rs 80.3 crore across all languages. On Tuesday and Wednesday, it earned Rs 1.75 crore and Rs 1.2 crore, respectively.The film primarily earned from the Telugu markets, with minimal contribution from dubbed versions in Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
Theatre occupancy
On Wednesday, July 30, the Telugu version of “Hari Hara Veera Mallu” had a 13.65% overall theatre occupancy rate. Throughout the day, occupancy fluctuated, with morning shows recording 12.51%, afternoon shows 14.19%, evening shows 14.35%, and night shows 13.54%, which was slightly lower. The movie is anticipated to perform better the following weekend, even though the box office results have decreased from the first weekend.
About the film
The film centres on Veera Mallu, a former outlaw who now fights for freedom, and is set in the Mughal Empire in the 17th century. With Pawan Kalyan in the lead, the ensemble cast also includes important roles from Nidhhi Agerwal, Bobby Deol, Nargis Fakhri, Nora Fatehi, Jisshu Sengupta, Sunil Varma, and Sathyaraj.
