Coldplay's Chris Martin asks a couple whether they are 'legitimate' amid the Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and CPO Kristin Cabot scandal - Deets inside

Coldplay’s front man, Chris Martin, seems to have his mind blown after Andy Byron, the CEO of Astronomer, and Kristin Cabot, the Chief People Officer (HR Department), were accidentally exposed for having an alleged affair during the ‘Kiss Cam’ section of the concert. Well, the distress runs deep as he genuinely asked another couple if they were ‘legitimate.’

Chris Martin asked whether the couple was legitimate

In the now-viral clip on the internet, Martin was performing with a guitar in his hand at the Gillette Stadium in Boston during the ‘Music of the Spheres World Tour’ concert. When a young couple was displayed on the jumbotron, the 48-year-old said, “OK, now listen, are you two a couple? Are you two a legitimate couple?” The audience erupted in laughter, recalling the chaotic seconds that changed the lives of the previous couple who ducked. Later, when the young couple, who had their arms wrapped around each other, looked confused and didn’t respond to Martin’s question, the ‘Yellow’ singer asked, “Do you understand English?”The British singer then proceeded to speak in Spanish, but when they did not react at all and stared at him…he joked, “Ok, I’m just going to risk it.” After asking them one more time if they could hear him, the man gave a thumbs-up, and the musician later sang ‘Fix You.’

A couple of minutes earlier, Chris was handling the ‘Kiss Cam’ segment, which has been a tradition during the shows. However, when the camera panned towards a middle-aged couple, the woman decided to quickly turn around as a reflex, and the man decided to hide behind the glass barricade. The confused singer prompted, “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just really shy.” “Oh s–t, I hope we didn’t do something bad,” he added, and they turned out to be CEO and CPO of the company. The clip went massively viral on social media and caused a conversation about workplace professionalism. However, some of them mocked the couple, while some felt bad for their respective families.
