The device is powered by Upliance AI’s proprietary technology and is capable of heating food items 40 per cent faster up to 160 degrees Celsius. It also comes with a glass lid and a virtual flame indicator for a familiar cooking experience, the Bengaluru-based startup said in a press release on Wednesday, September 3.
Upliance 2.O is priced at Rs 39,999. “Existing Upliance 1.O users will continue to receive updates, new recipes, and community challenges, along with a special upgrade programme,” the company said.
Founded in 2021 by IIT Bombay alumni Mahek Mody and Mohit Sharma, Upliance AI’s flagship product is a kitchen appliance that has been designed to automate several cooking functions, including portioning, chopping, mixing, sautéing, and stirring. However, what sets it apart from other cooking appliances is its integration of generative AI.
Upliance 2.0 comes preloaded with over 750 guided recipes and an AI-powered recipe generation feature as well. Once synced, these recipes are accessible offline as well.
“Upliance 1.O showed us that technology could simplify cooking, but we also learned that India wants more – more choice, more health-focused options, more speed, and more joy and taste in everyday meals. That insight is at the heart of Upliance 2.O. With our belief in ‘Real Food. Zero Fuss.’, this advanced version goes beyond being just a smart appliance,” Mahek Mody, CEO and co-founder of Upliance AI, said.
“It uses upliance.ai powered UpAI to adapt to individual tastes, offer healthier variants, and make nutritious meals possible even on the busiest days,” Mody added.

The physical features of the smart kitchen appliance includes a built-in weighing scale with macro-tracking of nutritional value that helps users adapt to dietary requirements with different cooking variants such as low-oil, high-protein, high-fibre, kid-friendly, and Jain.
Upliance 2.0 also has a smarter motor control that allows seamless chopping and stirring along with remote cooking capabilities. “Most cooking happens in a single jar, which along with the detachable lid and blade, makes cleaning simple and quick. The glass lid is heat-resistant and food-safe, and all accessories are made from certified food-grade materials, making the device safe for everyday Indian kitchens,” the company said.
Upliance AI insists that its device is not a gimmick and powered by real cooking science. The startup is backed by Khosla Ventures and was featured in Shark Tank season 3.
