Akshay Kumar was in Jammu for an event on Tuesday and he encountered an unusual hiccup as the traffic officials seized his car for breaching legal restrictions on window tinting. The vehicle, which had been brought in for a public event, was found with black-tinted windows darker than the level permitted under the Motor Vehicles Act.According to authorities, the car was flagged during a routine naka inspection. SSP Traffic Jammu City, Farooq Kaiser, stated, “The law is the same for all. The car was found with tinted glasses beyond the permissible limit during our routine naka. The vehicle has been impounded, and appropriate action will follow.”Traffic Police officials reiterated that road safety and visibility regulations apply uniformly, irrespective of the owner’s stature. They cautioned that vehicles featuring unauthorised alterations or excessive tints could face seizure or fines until brought into compliance.Despite this glitch, the event organisers confirmed that Akshay Kumar’s scheduled appearance went ahead without disruption and an alternate transport was arranged for the actor. The officials further urged motorists to adhere to legal tint limits, warning that strict checks and penalties would remain in place.Under existing rules, the impounded car can only be released once the illegal tint is removed and any applicable fines are paid by the owner or an authorised representative.On work front for Akshay, the actor will be seen next in ‘Jolly LLB 3’ along with Arshad Warsi, Saurabh Shukla.
